@Astuga Even in a just war, if you reach a point at which it becomes clear that you can only keep losing men to your ultimate defeat, fighting to the last man standing is self-evidently stupid rather than heroic. In this case, Ukraine knew from Day 1 that it could never defeat Russia, which is why Zelensky et al spent so much time and energy last year trying to drag NATO directly into the fight. Once they realized this would be a proxy war, they should have had the decency and humanity towards their own people and signed a peace treaty with Russia. Instead, they passed a law making peace negotiations a crime!
