I agree. I hope someone will work on it o make it happen.

The specialist who saved my mobility yelled at me in disbelief at the state my hips were in. He was a wonderful doctor, and I remain grateful to him for the rest of my life.

He's a sociopath. Sociopaths gravitate towards careers in the police, the justice system and medicine.
8
So, you're thanking your god for giving other people horrible lives he's spared you. An interesting deity, that.

@SHANECatLovingGenXHistorian And, as a consequence, there were dog saliva and teeth marks on the scarf. Also, no dog could strangle a person on a hardwood floor: they don't have any traction on smooth floors.

Don't judge by yourself. I know one person with the bipolar disorder, and I'd never let her babysit anyone's children.
6
@StofStuiver Excuse me, but that's crazy thinking. Your father kills your mother and you want to cling to him?! That's so messed up in the head, even sociopathic in its egotism.
4
I took that to be the shorthand for "which hospital".

@brkctrl A mother without an ounce of integrity.
3
@JCX-9 Except that she doesn't look the clueless type in the photos presented here.
3
@keith6032 Yes, at least 1 year for every year he deprived Menqqi Ji of. At least 50 years behind bars.
3
@StofStuiver There's nothing shocking in that. That people always and invariably choose what is beneficial to them is just a liberal/libertarian myth . People can and do choose what is harmful to them for many reasons: they can be deluded, mistaken, misled, etc. Being messed up psychologically is well known to be one of the key reasons why people choose what damages them and may even destroy them. This is an incontrovertible fact of actual human experience, of human reality.
3
@brkctrl Except that it's perfectly possible to re-member but by bit, in a totally calm, safe environment and over a few hours to a couple of days, the details of a traumatic event. I don't think the daughter ever allowed herself to go through such a process, with a firm, unwavering determination to recover the truth of what she saw, regardless of the consequences. She betrayed her mother in choosing to remain in denial about her dad.

@cb3514 Nothing to do with Chinese law. It's the US laws that prevent her Chinese grandparents from having full custody. It's inherently unfair and to the clear detriment of the child. 😢

To call him insecure is to invite sympathy for this disgusting misogynistic murderer. He's a sociopath if not a full blown psychopath. Probably the latter, actually.
2
I don't understand why the prosecutor thought a jury might not find him guilty once Paddington's wife had changed her testimony, this depriving him of an alibi. As for the family's search for a reason, a good therapist might help them understand that a violent misogynistic sociopath -- and this man is unmistakably one -- doesn't need what you or I would consider a reason to attack an unprotected woman.

@thediamondsinger1113 Doctors are trained to keep a very cool head. I'm sure nurses are, too, but there's a difference between a 4-year and a 6-year training, plus 2 additional years of residency.
2
@HandleWhat. You're excusing infanticide with the mother's "struggles". Nicely done. 🤮
2
That's a moralizing piece of fiction we tell ourselves to satisfy our sense of justice. In reality, many a happy, lasting second marriage starts off as an extramarital romance. I don't like it myself -- people should separate and divorce their spouse decently before they embark on a new relationship -- but facts are facts.
2
@Grammichal The stats on both first and subsequent marriages NOT based on adultery by (at least) one of the partners are not that great either. But you know that, right?
2
@Kimmaline Your ex MIL certainly beats the responsibility for the consequences of her child rearing style. She sounds like a narcissist mother with her golden narcissist son. I'm glad those people are out of your life.
2
@yvonnerahui8729 So, you advocate not judging murderers, defrauders, rapists and child molesters but just letting them walk around free, because only God can judge them?! I don't think you've thought this through really. (And I happen to be a Christian myself, by choice.)
2
People with the bipolar disorder can be hell to live with. Knowing that, I think his parents were glad to have someone take him off their hands and didn't care about the ethics of the situation.
2
@4everfreethinker Mother's lie for their sons all the time.
2
Sociopaths and psychopaths are especially drawn to careers in the law enforcement, the military, the judiciary, and medicine. They're also over-represented among corporate CEOs, the media elite, and politicians.
2
A psychiatrist who calls herself DrPretty?! 😂 DrNarcissist, that is.
1
@shachede6828 What use is a father who killed your mother?!
1
@Kait-tee Emotional immaturity is the hallmark of all personality disorders, and especially of sociopathy and psychopathy.
1
@joshuamartinez2389 Not if I was guilty, I wouldn't. I would hope they wouldn't reject me 100%, but I wouldn't want to continue to support me based on the lies I was able to fool them with.
1
@GASmith_LovesWisdom Sociopaths are known to gravitate to careers in law enforcement, the judiciary, and medicine.
1
@Janadu We had that law once and decided we didn't like it.
1
Thank goodness you escaped that lunatic! I'm so glad you're safe now and hope you'll heal completely from his abuse.
1
@paolorossi8470 Bush Sr came to the presidency from heading the CIA. I see absolutely no difference between that organization and the KGB.
1
@Steelhorsecowboy I think she fully deserves both.
1
@softlifejasmine I think she's lying about that, too.
