@frogfrog8130 A lot of Ukrainian men were left to die on the battlefield by their own officers. Telegram is full of videos and outrage about that. At one point, the Russian army was rescuing more wounded Ukrainian soldiers than the Ukrainian army did. The outcry in Ukraine was so fierce that Kiev had to reverse that policy to an extent.

@frogfrog8130 You do realize that even those who are lucky enough to get a month's worth of training are woefully unprepared for battle, do you? It takes 10 months for the US to train its troops for basic tasks!

@wizard6547 Ukraine should already have surrendered and saved at least a hundred thousand of its men. Better yet, it should have signed the peace deal it had negotiated with Russia with the help of Turkey back in March 2022. All talk of Ukraine standing a chance against the Russian Federation was and remains enemy action against Ukraine itself.

@youareliedtobythemedia The EU doesn't have an army. The UK army, ALL of it, can fit inside an American football stadium and leave 30,000 seats empty. NATO has been fighting this proxy war against Russia for a year, using THE best trained and equipped NATO forces in Europe (for that's what the Ukrainian army was at the start of this war), has put together a coalition of 41 countries whose defense ministers meet monthly to plan how to continue fighting this proxy war, and NATO can't even supply Ukraine with mere 30% of the ammunition the Russian Federation forces are using (Ukrainians are getting 10% of that, in fact)! The US is reduced to begging South Korea to "lend" it 500,000 shells which it can then pass on to Ukraine because the might military industrial complex can't produce more than 15,000 shells a month, tops! And the whole world knows all this, everyone but the hugely manipulated, utterly deceived public in the collective West.

Apartment rents in Belgrade, Serbia have gone through the roof thanks to the influx of moneyed Ukrainian "refugees" there. As for the actual cost of real estate, and for the same reason, it's now significantly cheaper to buy a flat in Athens, Greece than in Belgrade.

@Леонид-н7ж Calm down. He was referring to the American public, the civilians who are being deceived by their politicians and their media. As he says, the US military is fully aware of the real facts of the matter.

@TheAlgorath Wagner was founded to provide a better payment system for especially distinguished Russian army veterans, in the first place, because it was felt that the army's payment system didn't properly remunerate its best. This is why Wagner's so effective: it consists of Russian army's most skilled and battle hardened veterans. Prigozhin's inmate forces were just a sideshow, never more than 15-20% of Wagner's troops.

@f4llen1759 Thousands?! What planet do you live on? About 5 million Ukrainians have sought refuge in Ukraine since February 2022. That's on top of the other 4-5 million Ukrainians who've been living and working in Russia, and supporting their families in Ukraine with the money they were sending to them, for the past 15-20 years!

The people of Donbass, direct descendents of the Russians whose land was annexed to the Borderlands by Lenin in order to create the artificial state of Ukraine, considered themselves Ukrainians. They were never Ukrainian nationalists (very often just a euphemism for Ukrainian Nazis), but they saw themselves as Russian Ukrainians. Until, that is, the US+EU orchestrated coup d'état of 2014 which brought bona fide Nazis to power in Kiev.

@LeadLeftLeon I suspect their corrupt gang in power will force them to just carry on regardless, and will be supported in that by its Western sponsors. Neither gives a fig about how many Ukrainian men are blown to bits in the process. Ukraine won't recover from this loss of human capital for at least a century, if ever.

@wizard6547 rimea, Donbass, and all of south-eastern Ukraine are Russian territories annexed to the Borderlands to create Ukraine. Knowing some history helps understand present-day realities a lot better than listening to Western propaganda and accepting it without checking the facts in some depth.

I supported diplomacy, too, but there's no trusting the West. It has lied, deceived, broken its words time and time again while screaming innocence and demonizing those it has only wanted to ruin. The truth is that the only thing the West respects is force, sheer brute power. Now it's getting a mere foretaste of what it can expect if it ever tries to tango with Russia again.
