@kingsbrace3736 This is just the beginning of it. The US could still do a 180 degree turn and resolve to treat others as it would like to be treated and take its proper place in the community of nations, but I doubt your ruling class, the establishment, has enough sense in them to take that road. Most Americans don't even know or realize that life's so much better in many other countries in the world -- for the majority of the population, I mean. A beautiful country, the USA, but its ruling class and its corporations have been leading it astray with their greed and lust for limitless power they call exceptionalism. What terrible hubris.

@AnaG-pd3ym I'm sure there are Americans of that caliber around but they're prevented from coming up to the top by the very system you have. You have to get rid of the lobby system and the current way political campaigns are funded if you want really competent, effective patriots to come forth and have a chance of being elected. And that may well take a Second American Revolution.

@kingsbrace3736 Not for the sake of right principles and ethics but for the sake of the real interests of the American people. For example, even the IMF is frantically trying to explain to the people in Washington that the illegal seizure of Russian foreign currency reserves and the attempt to steal the interest accrued will only hurt the US, in both mid- and long-term. Alienating 86% of the globe out of sheer conceit and arrogance is economically a crazy policy, bound to boomerang at the States themselves.
