@jacekboczarski6698 There are several YouTube channels by both Russians and foreigners living in Russia that regularly cover cities and towns outside the big two, Moscow and Saint Petersburg. They all look remarkably clean and well cared for.

You won't need another revolution. The Communist Party remains the most popular party in Russia and once Putin retires, they'll be the obvious electoral choice. Even Putin's open to re-introducing certain elements of socialism, as he said a few months ago in reply to a proposal by the Communist Party leader.

Well, they've fooled him again and again and again. Most recently when they had the UK and France ask Russia to withdraw its troops from around Kiev in April 2022 as a gesture of good will to pave the way to Ukraine finalizing the peace agreement hammered out in Turkey. Russia withdrew its troops, and Ukraine reneged on the deal.

 @dancingferret6654 The EU itself is anti-democratic, ruled by a small group of people nobody ever elected into office. Literally incompatible with, opposed to democracy.
