Alexei Arestovich, Zelensky's closest advisor until a few weeks ago, told the Ukrainian TV audiences back in 2019 that Ukraine had to fight a war with Russia as a precondition for joining NATO. He further specified that NATO's proxy war against Russia would start anytime between 2020 and 2023. The video is available online.
