@ivandimitrovivanov7584 I can speak only anecdotally, but my father's family is from Macedonia, spoke Macedonian all their lives (though they didn't teach it to their children) and considered themselves Serbs.

@louise_rose Nuland comes from a family of Ukrainian Jews -- i.e. with an animus (understandably so) against a nation that stood behind the vicious destruction of Ukrainian Jews in WW2. I think it's now beyond controversy that she and other members of her tribe at the State Department have used the nationalists, the descendents of Ukrainian Nazi collaborators, they brought to power in Kiev in 2014 to wreak historical revenge on Ukraine. I would argue that that's exactly what they're doing to Germany, too, by forcing it to destroy its own economy.
