  1. Concerning Putin's statement: politeness and diplomatic subtlety only make Russian statements apt to be misrepresented to the audiences in the West. Instead of referring to some unnamed Western politicians who've threatened to use nukes on Russia, Putin should have called out Liz Truss by name and reminded the world how Zelensky spoke of Ukraine using nuclear weapons against Russia. He should have addressed himself, in a couple of those sentences, to Liz Truss and her like directly, so that Western MSM could not quite so easily get around the fact that it's only the West that's been threatening Russia with nukes, and not the other way 'round. As a now retired professor of communications, I suggest that Kremlin get some professional communications/PR specialists to advise Putin and the rest of Kremlin on how to speak on these and other related issues so as to minimise the West's ability to twist their words.
