  7. Yes, they are -- to remove the civilians from the areas Ukrainian forces keep on shelling. Once the city's been cleared of civilians, the Russian army will be able to deal with the Ukrainian forces without risk to civilian lives.

  8.  @stephendgreen1502  The way I phrased my comment was confusing: I was referring to cultural analysis, not to clinical psychotherapists. Christopher Lasch published "The Culture of Narcissism" back in 1979 and it's still an essential book on the topic.

The phone recording in which Victoria Nuland talks about how the US will use the UN "to glue this together," referring to the coup d'etat it staged in Ukraine, is in the public domain. Sadly, the West has completely corrupted ALL of the international organizations we could once rely on for a neutral, objective perspective. The International Crisis Group may well be the last relevant body that's retained its independence and integrity.
