  1.  @drysia26  The USSR dissolved itself in 1991. According to Christine Lagarde, head of the IMF back in 2914, from 1991 when it achieved its statehood until 2014, Ukraine was kept afloat economically entirely due to Russian largesse. The IMF estimates that in those 23 years, and these are figures that reflect 2014 values, Russia had given (not loaned) Ukraine $200 billion. Ukrainians have shown themselves incapable of statehood, due mostly to the oligarchs who rule it.

  11.  @drysia26 . Yes, it was as necessary to present Srebrenica to the Western public as an unprovoked atrocity by those nasty killer Serbs. None of the Western journalists who "covered" the war in Bosnia (and covered up what really took place there) ever revealed that Srebrenica was a revenge action for the spree of Muslim atrocities on Serbs that had been going on around Srebrenica for months. One has to read memoirs by west European colonels and generals stationed in Bosnia to learn such "details".

  15. Ukraine had agreed to become a neutral country like Austria at the negotiations in Istanbul. That would have done for the goal of demilitarisation. The Ukrainian side had initialed the agreement when Boris Johnson flew out to Kiev to persuade or command Zelensky to renege and end the negotiations.

  19. Well, Ukrainian authorities are openly calling on Ukrainians to leave and seek refuge somewhere in Europe. I'm sure Kiev's perfectly aware of the psychological effect an influx of hungry, cold Ukrainian refugees into EU countries would be.
