  1. ​ @lesleyriseam1282  That's exactly what Yanukovich wanted to do back in 2013. The EU, however, would not have it. It presented an ultimatum to Ukraine: you can trade with us or with Russia, but not both. That EU ultimatum was a direct violation of Article 3 of the Budapest Memorandum. When a full history of this era of European history is written, the EU will come out as the villain it's been vis à vis both Ukraine and Russia.
