  7.  @senseijoe8.292  Americans are obsessed with taxes although you actually pay surprisingly little in taxes compared with any other country in the collective West. As a Canadian who's about to move to a warmer clime in my retirement, I will also have to pay double taxes.

  9.  @snowwhite7704  If respecting international law would be the death of the USA, the sooner such a law-despising political entity is gone off the face of the Earth, the better. But I doubt that the USA could not survive following the rule of law. You'd have to give up your empire and your bid for global hegemony, sure, but you'd then be able to recover your democracy, renew your economy by bringing production back home, and actually thrive as a society instead of having the world's largest prison population, highest murder rates, and the absolute worst in child poverty, homelessness, and infrastructure decay in the collective West.
