  10. Santa is not a "lie". It is an effective "story" parents can use to teach their children the spirit of giving. A lie is told with the intention of the truth never to be revealed. The STORY of Santa is told to teach a lesson all the while knowing the reason will be revealed in time.

  11.  @AlanWunderlin  Oh calm down. We celebrated Christmas with Santa and the whole thing. We are all adults now and understand what it was all about. Those holidays in my youth are the best memories of my life. I'm so glad my parents were true believers in Christ and not some knucklehead like you. What I told you about "lies" is true and you know it.

  12. I understand their point. Christmas is about Jesus. However the myth of Santa Clause is a VERY EFFECTIVE way of teaching children the spirit of giving. It worked on me. Their way of going about it is creepy. Abusive. Invasive. Mean. Judgmental. All things that Jesus teaches NOT TO DO.

There are many documentaries about this you could watch or books to read. Now go to Starbucks get yourself a latte' and get on your laptop on your comfortable sofa in your warm house and research just how hard it was. Then come back and tell me that's how you want to live.😙
