So I guess all those politicians at soup kitchens I've seen my whole life are felons? What about a politician saying they will pay your student loans if you vote for them? Felony? How about politicians saying they will give you 5,000 dollars towards a new house if you vote for them? Another felony?

What if a politician promises you 5,000 dollars towards the purchase of a new house if you vote for them, then gets elected and you actually get 5,000 dollars towards your new house? Is that a felony?
