The reason Puritans were so adamant about fines and laws against Christmas were because of the PAGAN elements like the mistletoe, tree, yule log etc. Massachusetts outlawed Christmas at that time. The history of pagans and Christians goes all the way back to the 3d century to keep both sides from warring. Also, the star that led the Magi (Magic practicing priests) to the baby Jesus were there sent as spys to let the whereabouts be known so HE could be murdered. Read the account in Mathew. Not an insignificant little point.

  10. Cabbage soup is a great diet food. It is very healthy meal. It is inexpensive. Rich women live on it. Putting potatoes in it adds flavor. Its wonderful.
