Don't forget to diversify with other stocks and other markets

I actually think that Berkshire will wait for prices to go down even more due to the virus. There will be lots of phases kicking in. Italy is next, then maybe other European states. We all need patience here and hold.

It's not yet. Patience. Markets bottoming is a process and not an event. Newsflow on the virus will kick in. Governments will impose restrictions. No earnings yet.

I agree with him on pretty much everything, BUT here's the deal - people don't agree with him, nor do they understand the issues, so there won't be a recession since markets are all about psychology.

Agreed, also real estate is an even better inflation hedge historically than gold. I'm invested in mall owner Macerich and am looking at office space now. Vornado or Alexander's look interesting.

Myouneek. lol

And wrong most of the time.

Plus, they profit from low interest rates on the expense of the middle class who's dependent on cpi.

I agree. Hotels, movie theaters, restaurants... It's just that people still are fearful, but that fear will decline over time.

lol

@kokjong1359 No, not yet. Do any interesting names come to mind? Feel free to share them. I'm also looking at Mexico and Europe.

@kokjong1359 Yes, Macerich - a prime retail mall operator. And to a lesser extend maybe the office space REITS, Vornado and Alexander's. How about you? What Malaysian REITs do you think are undervalued oder at least fairly priced?
1
Macerich was cheaper compared to the Zell entities. KLCC is an sharia/islamic REIT, lol. Pavilion... Sounds interesting, will look into that.
1
@kokjong1359 But none of them are cheap.

As I understand it he suggests to go into emerging market stocks rather than US stocks. And he likes treasuries in order to profit from the next recession to then dive into equities again with lots of cash at hand. Correct?
1
I really didn't get the end here. What is he suggesting? Buying treasuries to have enough cash to buy stocks after the next recession?
1
How so?

@markBalentine123567 I am just trying to figure out what Gundlach suggested.
1
@welchkoservices4200 Well, that's an opinion. Do what you think works best. I'm long EM equities. But all I want is to figure out what Gundlach is saying here.

FED doesn't matter? K, then END IT!
