Who cares about a week?
1
@yedeylp Which ones in your opinion? OXY?
1
@yedeylp Shell and in particular BP fall in that category as well. But those are all bets on rising oil prices. So if you think the dollar continues to weaken, inflation will rise, demand will come back and OPEC will cut again at some point, you might as well pick a more riskier stock like Oxy where the upside potential is higher. But that's just my opinion. I'm watching Oxy closely and maybe sell one of my highflyers and start a position. What's your take on oil prices?
1
lol

I'm looking for companies as derivative plays to benefit from legalization. Any ideas? Liberty Braves, MSGN...
1
So where do you put your money? Oil assets are certainly undervalued because there is a shortage of capital. You'll get bargain prices on the infrastructure or the pipelines generating stable cash flows. As far as other inflation hedges are concerned, I think pockets of real estate/land is interesting: Mall REITS are cheap and the pricing is overblown. Just because there's e-commerce, doesn't mean that good malls are suddenly disappearing. And if so: Boom, there's your land, those parking lots in great urban areas. Seritage and Macerich look great at this price point. Looking forward to your reply. Greetings from Germany.

I decided to invest a nice chunk in Swiss industrials. Gives you a CHF hedge as well.
1
Long commodities and small cap value is the opportunity.
1
@TheTurnaroundProject I agree, even though I bought Meta in the low 90s. I like copper, silver/gold and energy, particularily offshore services look very attractive. There are some very durable cash and asset rich balance sheets available within the US small cap universe.
1
No. They are down also due to higher costs as Bristow says in this take as well. Oil is up.
1
This.
1
Didn't match the tie, though!
1
Good idea to leg into BP or Shell? Can't decide which stocks.
1
@hugo baro Why?
1
He doesn't get it. Real yields are deeply negative!
1
For a reason.
1
And they should lower taxes, kick illegal and criminal immigrants out, change the weather, scrap German for English, French or Spanish.
1
@AH-fm7rj wtf, those are wrong facts. Germany has the highest tax rates among all OECD countries.
1
@AH-fm7rj Sorry but that's bs.
1
China is probably not a safe jurisdiction to store your wealth or invest. China may be growing rapidly, but does that mean that you must invest directly via Chinese equities? Do you trust the accounting standards and the numbers? A beautiful company and a beautiful country doesn't equate to a beautiful investment. It's all about PRICE!
1
@abdulwahedjawad5617 Earnings were and are growing and so are stock prices.
1
@LL-sk3do Remains to be seen if this will be a peak. I don't think so since the economy hasn't reopened fully.
1
@LL-sk3do Interesting. Can you share the source? Although I think these macro things are not that relevant to individual company valuations. There are still bargains around. A few.
1
@harrychu650 Check the Japanese maximum chart. Didn't recover.
1
goodfella21f Why? I own 9 stocks now.
1
goodfella21f I mean 9 different stocks. I sold Tesla, as I said.
1
@wattlebough Well, the valuation just did not and does not make any sense to me. I'd rather buy GM or BMW. But I only own an RV stock within the auto industry.
1
@wattlebough Don't be stupif. Tesla is producing cars and should be compared to other car manufacturers. But if you want to invest in dreams, go ahead and stick with Tesla.
1
@wattlebough Are yxou aware that Tesla is only making money by selling tax credits?
1
@wattlebough Ok, but we'll have to see if Tesla even comes close to the margins of let's say Ferrari. I doubt that.
1
Ah! Interesting. Uuh. Reminds me of Larry David. Ah! Interesting.
1
Ouch! Is he still in?
1
He is one if the few people I listen to. Maybe also Icahn and Berkowitz.
1
@Bonescratcher Yes, but LVMH is priced to perfection in terms of the stock.
1
Wrong.
1
@michealbay1290 I'm not in a hurry. Reliance will sell a huge stake to Aramco, which would turn them debt free.
1
Buy a little Oxy?
1
Why? The Supreme Court spoke already.
1
@todaysreality1575 Any news? If anything the prefs are the place to be, I agree.
1
lol
1
Coke partnering with Aurora Cannabis?
1
Well, in terms of content you're right. But there will be less movie theaters that make it through the crisis. The big chains will gain market share. At least those who survive.
1
JOE!! <3
1
Do you know? And where?
1
peng
1
Play China via derivatives: Starbucks, Nike or something similar
1
Huge crush.
1
Banks? Yeah, sure... Emerging markets is the way to go.
1
A B Have you ever heard about vaccinations?
1
@Melissa-zy6qi I doubt that Finnish Nokia will sell to Chinese investors. Highly unlikely.
