I don't know. I'm thinking maybe the fire bombing of Dresden and innocent civilians was probably worse. Or the dropping of two atomic bombs on civilian occupied cities was even worse.

Saved the world? From who? Do you think if HistIer won we'd all be speaking German? Yet the most common language spoken in the world is English. Do you think we Liberated Europe? 1/2 of Europe fell to Communism and lived behind the Iron Curtain for almost 50 years. Do you know what Lebensraum is? You should educate yourself a little more.

Or maybe that was the plan all along. A way for the West to fight and kill each other. Maybe WWII isn't the great victory we've been taught. You should look up the Frankfurt School and WWI and even prior. Start to look at WWI and WWII from a different perspective. You might become a little angry when you realize what was done to the West.

@mackk123 . . .exactly. It would be interesting to see a poll result of who would know the answers to the following two questions. How many Gooz died in WWII? How many Americans died in WWII?

@jeffmattson5766 . ..they weren't necessary regardless. Bombing civilians when the war was basically already over with wasn't necessary. And there were even more atrocities after the actual formal surrender. And FDR basically already had the US involved in the war on both fronts before Pearl Harbor. The Germans and the Japanese did not want war with the United States. Japan attacking Pearl Harbor was meant to keep the US out of their conflict. But it back fired. Great Britain declared war on Germany when Germany did not want war. Look up the events prior to German invading Poland. Then maybe look up Poland's annexation under threat of force with Czechoslovakia in 1938. Funny how war wasn't declared then or even after the Soviets invaded Poland shortly after Germany did. Great Britain - Imperialist Nation with Colonies all around the globe. France - see Great Britain Soviet Union - Communist dictatorship with ambitions to spread Communism throughout Europe and other parts of the world. United States - history of colonialism and slavery and probably the largest economy and potential military Yeah. . . I guess it sounds like we were the good guys. We fought to Liberate Poland from Germany and give 1/2 of Europe to the Soviet Communists for "Free". . .well. . .that's if you think millions of lives are "free". And to commemorate the victory in WWII a large wall was erected in Berlin. Japan - since WWII = Great Ally German - since WWII = Great Ally There's a reason why the Left looks at WWII as a Good war. What do you think General Patton meant when he said "we defeated the wrong enemy". Take a look at the West today. You surely can't argue it was a good war.

And to think we didn't even liberate Europe. And look at the West today and you have to ask yourself what was all that for? What a waste. We've been duped. . . again.
