Everything with the Left is political. A party that wants government to control almost every aspect of your life is going to make almost every aspect of your life political. Conservatives want Constitutionally Limited Government. We haven't had that since pre 1960's.

@oosung the right for my children to go to school without wearing a mask. The right for me & others to work without wearing a mask. The right not to be coerced or threatened to lose my job if I don't get vaccinated. The "President" & other gubnit officials have already tried to mandate vac-cinati0ns. What part about mandate do you not understand?

or AIDS
2
I thought the same thing during the AIDS epidemic.
2
roger bachus . . . wow. . . I responded with what I thought was a reasonable argument for people getting vaccinated and for people to refuse to get vaccinated. And yet my response, which was benign as you could expect, was taken down. That alone should make you wonder why we can't have an honest discussion related to this topic. So sad "open-minded" liberals are silencing people.
2
@secretysecret1551 . . . and our right wing founding fathers had to become political in order to remain free. But then they created the a political system that curtailed the powers of the Federal Government so that our entire lives would not become politicized. One of the main tenets of the Constitution is to have a Federalist Limited Government.
2
Let us know how it goes as I had a friend that had a stroke right after they got their booster. I've also had nurses tell me that after getting the Vaccination (especially the Booster) that they will not do it again.
1
Many people thought the same thing during the AlD$ Ep!demic.
1
And during the AlDS Epidemic we thought one less Democrat. . .😄
1
@MyEyesBled .<<< But they did not have to go to bathhouses and practice unsafe sex with multiple people every weekend. The vast majority of AIDS transmission was/is based on behavior that was closely linked with Homosexual Male Activity. Same as using intravenous drugs and AIDS. Also, she was against mandating vaccinations not against people choosing to get the vaccination. So I guess it would be fair game to make fun of 12 year old Maddie De Garay who volunteered for the vaccination trials and now is in a wheelchair with multiple complications from the Vaccination. And Big Pharma swept it under the rug.
1
@MyEyesBled . . . you're narrow minded and the simpleton. I'm not religious. So a person does not have a Constitutional right to prevent someone from injecting them with a foreign substance? Are you kidding me?
1
@MyEyesBled . . .it's a great comparison. Actually, most people knew that contracting AIDS, which was not an airborne virus, could be prevented or greatly reduced by not having A-nal intercourse or doing intravenous drugs. Whereas Cov!d is airborne and much more easily transmissible and is less dependent on behavior. Just another emotional Leftist twists their preferences into logic. Michele Foucault would be proud.
1
@MyEyesBled . . .yeah OK. Sure. I didn't like Trump either as he was a moderate Democrat most of his life. . . plus he was a New Yorker which was a definite negative. But I think he evolved over the last 10-15 years and was spot on with so many things. Sure he's a bit bombastic and says some rude things, but there is no denying that he's been proven right so many times.
1
They said the same thing during the AiDS epidemic.
1
@secretysecret1551 It looks like your definition of what is "Vaccinated" is skewed
1
@secretysecret1551 . . . vaccinations are pretty black and white. . .that's why I've already gotten my 4th Smallpox Booster shot. I'm sure youtoob will probably take this post down as they've already taken plenty of them down. The American Revolution was a Right Wing revolution. You must be fairly young and doumB. Our Constitution is pretty much a document that spells out what the Federal Government is allowed to do and then that is it. Just read the 10th Amendment and you'll see that it is antithetical to Left wing philosophy. Which is why we developed a Free Market Capitalist system and which is also why our relationships with Left Wind Communist countries are not that good.
1
@secretysecret1551 . . . I do acknowledge there's a spectrum of political beliefs. During the enlightenment era most people were Conservative/Libertarian minded, especially in America where they had the benefit of the Great Experiment of practicing limited government protected by their Colonial European Power. It wasn't until the late 1800's/early 1900's that Post Modernism/Communism began to take influence. You could even argue that the French Revolution, which was the Left Wing counterpart to the American revolution, was the beginning of radical Left wing ideology. Classical Liberals of yesterday are not Modern Day Socialist liberals of today. Many times the Left does go too far. . .almost always. It's the nature of an ever increasing central power that eventually becomes an entity in and of itself and forgets the people they were initially fighting for. You can argue that it was the wrong people in place or not done right or done on purpose or whatever reason. We have numerous examples of tyrannical left wing regimes that have come and gone with destruction, misery, and death left in it's wake. Venezuela is just the most recent example.

@secretysecret1551 . . . I didn't like Trump at first because he came across as a moderate Democrat/Republican and plus he has that NYC sliminess to him. But he opened my eyes to a lot of what was going on in our government, China, multi-national corps, foreign wars, immigration, etc. He was rude and was bombastic in his approach, but he was spot on on so many things. . .even some of the things you thought . . .."no way. . .they weren't spying on his campaign". Anyway, gotta go. I'm tapped out of this conversation.
1
@secretysecret1551 . . . I am using critical thinking which is why I'm a right wing quasi Libertarian. I don't think the middle is the middle anymore and I also don't think the "middle" has any type of higher moral quality just because it's "the middle". It's the same ignorant argument when someone says they're a moderate or an independent. A political philosophy should not change much to any degree as long as it's logical and consistent. Now from a practical standpoint it is usually the right that is more pragmatic and compromises their principles. Take at look at our Federal Government now vs. 150 years ago. It's the nature of the Left or Right. . . the Federal Government will always attract more Leftists over time as that is who and what it eventually becomes. The Left has and will always be better at politics. And what side is being silenced over the vaccinations? Even questioning the science can get you thrown off youtoob, facebook, etc. Take a look at Dr. Robert Malone and his interview with Joe Rogan? Anyway, I'm tapped out on this one.
1
@MC-br1gk . . . ideas? You mean just more Government run programs? 10th Amendment. Christian Sharia Law? LOL. That's laughable considering back before the worst decade (1960s) the vast majority of US Citizens were some Christian denomination and white. I'll let you connect the dots on that argument. I'm Agnostic. Jews and Muslims are much more religious than Christians. Care to say anything negative about them? Most federal programs and departments are unconstitutional. This country is over with as we know it. There's no going back. So let the decline/collapse happen. Not sure how it's going to manifest itself and how quickly, but it will eventually happen.
1
@loosilu . . . sure. . . that's why he basically let the states decide on how to handle it and he would support them. Which is what he did and a vaccine was created in record time under his administration. And now Joe Biden has admitted that there's no solution for COVID at the Federal Level.
1
@oosung . . . youtoob deleted my response to you where I somewhat find some middle ground with you. But they deleted by comment probably due to this. . . General Patton. . ."We defeated the wrong enemy". Gotta go.
1
@AtheistRex . . .we don't. Dishonesty is part of being a Leftist. Just look at all the failed Left Wing Communist countries that promised Utopia. And fools like you are still falling for it.
1
@loosilu . . . wow. . even a simple response gets taken down by some libtard at youtoob. Moderna and Astrzeneca did take Federal Funds. Pfizer did not initially take funds but did take $1.95 billion after approval of 100 million doses and also negotiated help logistically. That's all I'm going to type as youtoob keeps taking my post down. Even when I posted the exact same words from an ABC article.
1
@loosilu . . . I'm not vaccinated. I took a chance got Covid and now I have natural immunity. I think most people will tell you this: If you're 65 or older. . .get vaccinated. If you're 50 or older. . . you might want to consider vaccination based on weight/health. If you're any age and are grossly overweight or are in bad health. . . get vaccinated. If you are young and healthy do not get vaccinated because nobody knows the long term consequences yet of any side effects from this vaccination. I ran the numbers just recently and about 78% of deaths related to Covid are from people 65 and older. 92% are from people 50 and older.
1
@loosilu And how many times did Biden bash Trump about COVID? Joe Biden - ". . . anyone who is responsible for 220,000 deaths from COVID should not be president.". I believe Biden has well surpassed that and that's even after a "vaccine" has been developed. And now under Biden we have a COVID test shortage. In all honesty I'm not looking to blame or give credit to Trump or Biden. It's a new virus that we're learning to deal with. I still am wondering where China is in all of this. It has become more apparent that this virus probably originated from a lab in Wuhan. And it would be very helpful if they had the source of where and how the virus was developed. I'm not against "vaccinations". Although I don't think you could really claim this vaccination is a real vaccination. I'd call it more like a flu shot. It doesn't stop you from getting Covid and it doesn't stop you from Transmitting Covid. When was the last time people got their Smallpox Booster shot? LOL. Covid is not going anywhere. Our government/medical community focused too much on a vaccine and not enough on early treatment. It should have been a combination of both. And in fact many in the government and media shut down any discussions on early treatment. Now people are starting to realize that we are probably going to have to live with Covid and it will be dealt with by a combination of vaccines and treatment, a focus towards more healthy living, etc. I believe eventually people will build up enough immunity to Covid that it will be similar to the common cold/flu.

@shadowlouise . . .Jews and Muslims are much more religious than Christians and they vote overwhelmingly Democrat. Republicans, for the most part, support the Constitution and Limited Government. But I think Republicans know that they've lost the war and that this country is over with so they'll put up what looks like a fight but will eventually capitulate to those that are pushing more government. But I'm not going to get into it with you too much because you sound sort of ignorant.
1
@MC-br1gk . . . you should move to Israel. A racist ethno-religious country that displaced and persecuted the indigenous people of Palestine. Heck, almost all non-white countries are racist. Just look at their immigration and citizenship laws and you'll find they discriminate against those that are not the ethnic/racial majority. Still in my 40's. Can't stand Baby Boomers or Millennials. This country is over with. And fools like you will be just like all the other fools that believed Big Government had your best interest in mind. You should really educate yourself on the Frankfurt School and Critical Theory. Learn the other perspective of WWI and WWII.
1
@jimsty5222 . . .as I've stated somewhere in this thread. Our founding fathers had to become political in order to secure their freedom from England. And the document they created was to limit the size and scope of government so their lives wouldn't be filled with politics. Just look at the 10th Amendment and figure out what Federalism means.
1
@shadowlouise . . . China deserves the blame. It's more likely that this virus originated from a lab in Wuhan. Even John Stewart, an idol of the Left, laughed at Democrats for not thinking that it most likely is the case that Covid came from a lab. If we had the original source of this virus and how it was created then it would probably make it easier to treat/fight.
1
@doublen7737 . . . If the owner of a private business requires their employees to wear a mask I'm fine with that. I was even fine with government requiring wearing a mask when Covid first came out. But now that it's been 2 years and we know who is most likely to be severely affected by Covid and all the other information, I'm against mandating vaccinations. Not sure where masks came into this conversation.
1
@loosilu . . . that's funny. I can partially see your comment when I get the response notification but I don't see it in this thread. I didn't call you a L!b-tard. I was referring to the moderators at youtoob for taking comments down when nothing in the comments was offensive.
1
@jerrymcgovern4848 . . .if other people are vaccinated why do they care if someone isn't? That makes no sense.
1
@thankyoubrandon8530 . . .you obviously have no clue on how tyrants come to power. This country has not been a free country for decades.
1
@loosilu . . . looks like youtoob is not letting me post this. I guess I'll make this one even shorter. Tried 3 or 4 times. There is no contradiction. It was a good thing the Vaccination was created in record time. Old and/or unhealthy people - get vaccinated Young healthy people - it's your choice but think twice as we don't know the long term side effects.
1
@loosilu . . . It's not a contradiction. The vaccination has probably saved many older/unhealthy peoples lives. Let's hope that it doesn't cause in-fertiIity (or some other long-term condition) for younger people as we don't know the long-term consequences.
1
@mionaruse2748 . . . voluntarily getting the vaccination is different than mandated vaccinations. There have been plenty of issues from the "Vaccine" that doesn't stop you from getting COVID or from Passing it such as Maddie de Garay and many others. I have a friend that had a stroke just after getting the Vaccine.
1
@mionaruse2748 . . . and I guess some people could argue that the AIDS epidemic was also Natural Selection right?
1
@mionaruse2748 . . . agreed. But we also don't know the long term ramifications of this vaccine. So what if a good % of young women that got vaccinated find out 5 years from now they cannot have kids? Can those that had concerns about an experimental vaccination say that "karma tends to bite them on the @$$"?
