We'll actually be covering more on this topic in a future video. For your second question, I would say that the term is not an official one. There are some key characteristics of bipolar and NPD that overlap, like being overly impulsive or setting unattainable goals. And some people could, in theory, have both. The overall agreement in the mental health treatment community is that it's people with bipolar disorder that have some narcissistic traits, usually during manic episodes. You're right, apart from studying psychiatric conditions during the initial two years of med school, and a dedicated rotation in the psychiatry ward, I did not go into psychiatric residency. I actually specialize in cancer now, but the mental health issues and psychiatric conditions affect all patients. As I mentioned in the video, I was prompted to think about this topic after I watched a show, and it was actually about Dahmer. I do believe he was not, in fact, a psychopath as many believed. He probably had a combination of some psychiatric conditions, but I am not his treating doctor so I cannot say for sure. Thanks again!

As you said, I am still working out the kinks trying to figure out the best way to run this channel. I have a full time job and do this as a passion project, so I hire staff to do some things for me, including a trial channel manager who wanted to see if a different style of thumbnails and titles would work. I did not think it did, nor did I like the clickbaitiness, so I stopped that, but sometimes things still slip through. My main focus personally is, and will always be, the actual content, which is all written by me and my wife (we're both MDs), so every thing else is dependent on other people. We're working on it and are very grateful for your feedback!

In this situation, however, the idea for the video was borne out of personal experience as a child abuse survivor (which is what forgotten/misunderstood trauma is often about). The video may be too general at this point because I tried to include salient points and there is just too much to talk about. I do plan to make more videos on this topic, in fact I have one coming up specifically on "evil" people we encounter in our lives, so hopefully you'll stay tuned!
