  1. I remember seeing a movie about this and the actor that portrayed Jim Jones was Powers Boothe. He did a really good job. People who are gullible weak-minded they're unhappy with their lives there looking for some type of Salvation will follow anyone like the Pied Piper. Which kind of is like some groups today. They will follow anything anyone even if it's a joke because they have no independent thought so anything that seems good they will believe it.
