  1. I think my mom used to save some bacon grease, to use in various recipes and maybe my grandmother did. But I don't know I think today with people trying to be health-conscious maybe not so much saving of bacon grease.

  2. I don't know if I could have lived during those times of course being in those days you ate whatever you could for lack of food obviously. But I don't know dandelions and tumbleweeds oh, I don't know I probably would have picked the berries and the cakes over plants.
