Mathematicians really like their flipped/rotated letters. Upside-down V, rotated/flipped L, flipped A, flipped E

It makes sense that the independent game is the same as the one where you don’t replace the balls, because in both cases the game is fair. Each number has the same odds as any other of getting any given prize, and the number of prizes distributed this way remains the same.

Rationals be like: infinite set of infinite sets of ordered pairs of infinite sets of ordered pairs of sets of [some stuff and also empty sets].

The “A must have no greatest element” thing from the dedekind cut reminds me of Zeno’s dichotomy. To walk out of a room, you first have to walk halfway to the door, then half of the remaining distance, then half of the remaining distance, then half of the remaining distance, etc., etc.

See y’all on June 5th.

@archangecamilien1879 and yeah, that was the answer

MAFS has returned!

I like the solution for problem 3 is just “oh yeah that’s been proved more generally, just use that.”

@Benw8888 the logic used by a brain is still fallible. If you want to be sure that your model is doing computations that actually make sense, it needs some kind of connected system like this.

holy wow, that second question

If you win El Gordo and second prize is the number one above yours, do you also win the bonus for that?

dang I kinda want a cupcake now

3 = {2, 1, 0} Huh

@JivanPal as said in the video

Honestly I think the “left brain” is a powerful innovation in this kind of thing. It lets the AI access hard truth and stay grounded in math/logic that actually works.

heh

what are you even doing here

@alexodom358 oh, no, absolutely, the idea makes no physical sense, but it’s an interesting purely mathematical idea.
