  9. Problem with these is that there exists a strategy. If there were to be a voting system in which there wasn't any sort of strategy, if the best way to go was the way in which you actually felt, that would be the best.

  13. I know I’m a bit late on this, but whatever. The set of voters that are “betraying” were going to vote for both purple and orange before, but if a couple of voters who would be ok with orange but prefer purple decide to only vote for purple, then purple can win. The same logic applies to the purple/orange voters who prefer orange, and so both only vote for their preferred candidate, causing green to win instead since almost all of the people who are ok with them are voting for them.
