  1. Greg M China today isn't as culturally empty as you might think. What they have done away with are traditional BS such as organized religion and the chauvinistic Confucian ideals for women.  This differences between the roles for women in China and other East Asian countries is very obvious if you knew anything at all about what you're talking about.

As a Chinese American (and I do understand the Chinese you typed), I'll defend our culture by pointing out the great tradition of American secularism, which I'm damn proud of.  This may be foreign to you, and perhaps not at your own fault especially if you're not living outside the motherland.  Look it up.

  4. ***** No shit I'm speaking for America. Did you not understand a word I typed? And you seem to believe that we as a people popped out of existence for only a little over 200 years. America is a melting pot and our culture here is imported from all over the world. And this is possible because of our great tradition of American secularism.  China may have 5000 years of history, but where does it stand today in terms of civil advances?   I can confidently say that we are still ahead of China in civil advances, as we are still ahead in science and technology (although I can't say for long).

  6. ***** If you're living outside of China, then you have no excuse not to know. Go find a book and read about our culture. Read Susan Jacoby's Freethinkers: A History of American Secularism. To say that Americans do not have culture is just fucking retarded.
