  1. I've been in CG software development for over 3 decades. I've yet to encounter a woman in this particular industry. Also, I've only encountered one other Black person in this industry. That means that for the majority of my career, I was the only Black person in the room. I'm hoping to effect change on my next venture. Anyway, thank you very much for this video, Dave 👍

  4.  @trappedcat3615  Okay. This isn't about you or how you're totally okay (or not) with being among others in part or in whole, being mixed. This is about the fact that there's a dearth of Black people in the CG programming space, and not enough of us in software development, in general. The consequences of this are great, especially when systems are built from the predominantly white male perspective... some of them not always with the best of intentions. All I would like to leave you with is this: Sure, things may be fine for you, never having the world identify you as Black. But look outside yourself and recognize others' life experiences are... "different." If you do that, it'd be easier for you to see and understand the greater issues facing others.
