  1. Dear New Republican Party: Now's your chance to free yourself from the chains of the wrong-headed ideology that was foisted upon you without your consent. Let go of your unwinnable stance on abortion rights. Stop trying to rewrite history on slavery and the civil war, and accept that CRT is an actual real thing. End your zombie-like regurgitation of anti-woke/anti-DEI rhetoric, and become more inclusive. Stop demonizing American cities and states. Don't allow any religious group to control you, and don't allow your religion to be corrupted by politics. Accept that freedom for you means freedom for all, and this includes freedom of religion and to love whom you love. And, finally, stop demonizing immigrants; having such a platform not only provides no solutions, it requires the blocking any viable ones. Sincerely yours with hope, Independent Voter
