  1. My granddad loved circus peanuts, and I was one of the few people in our large family who was allowed to have some of his stash. Circus peanuts will always be special to me!

  2. I grew up outside of Philadelphia. I'm certain that I remember seeing, and eating, pumpkin and acorn shaped candies that were made from the same stuff as candy corn. I don't think they were still making turnip candies, though. I'm, obviously, not old enough to have enjoyed these in the 1800s, so I'm guessing that the makers are either remaking nostalgia candy, or just happened upon a fun idea again...like convergent evolution.
