  5. Wow, those rails have deep and enduring beef with crabs, I'll bet the crabs have a tendency to predate rail eggs and young chicks. Or they just don't like the look of ocean bugs? 🤔

  9. I already ordered a banner last month, hoping it arrives with my adorable spiny mouse pin!! Glad to see Sarah. I'm thrilled to see the OG vlogbrothers episodes remastered, but I also love your regular content. It wasn't clear whether they would run concurrently. I just discovered BB in the summer, so I was also excited at the chance to purchase some of the original pins!

  10. We've got some neat, and surprisingly large, stick bug phasmids in Virginia. We've found ones that were 7cm+ long on our trees in our yard. They're hard to find, their camouflage is fantastic. Sweet little guys, completely harmless.

  11. It actually doesn't matter much anymore in most places. Unless there are NO cats in an area, which is incredibly unlikely, the local feral cats will all already have territories. I'm not saying that all cats should be left to their own devices, spay and neuter, vaccinate, keep indoors if you can, but really, raging at cat owners every time there's a story like this is ridiculous. Most of the places cats can get, they already have gotten. Most of the stories like this one are pretty old, and most places that DON'T yet have cats are very, very cautious about allowing them, if they even allow them at all. If you think cat owners don't know all this stuff, well, maybe a few are doofuses. Most are VERY aware.
