Except pass laws that make it harder for people to be safe if there's another pandemic. THAT he got done ASAP.

@robynwells8249 Oh, I forgot about that! It was so mealy mouthed and cowardly! Good on you 😂💙

Thankfully, our Constitution prevents him from running for consecutive terms.

@handl3869 that and HOW DARE we try to keep our citizens safe during a pandemic!! That's the downside of our governor elections being in off years from presidential elections. There's less pressure to get out there for moderate folks, so these distraction issues end up being of outsized importance. At least he can't run for consecutive terms.

Yup, me, too. I detest that slime mold.

As a Loudoun county person, we aren't purple up here, we're dark indigo. Sure, there's always some Magats around when you get further into the rural areas around me, but we're comfortably into the blue side of the spectrum at this point. Even my little town in far NW Loudoun went blue. 💙 To be fair that HAS shifted significantly over the last twenty years from Raspberry (red tinged with purple)

@lynnpallais4132 Um ... Normal Virginians know this, but the rich conservatives don't give a rat's butt about things like that. Their stock portfolios won't be affected much, and they do their darnedest to not pay property taxes.

@suzannewalek2885 It is VERY expensive here, too.

@bmj1680 our state Constitution prevents him from running for consecutive terms, so it's about making sure the Lt. Gov doesn't just get promoted. Shouldn't be too hard, neither one of them is particularly popular. The previous few Govs have been mostly Dems, too. 👍💙

The way these idiots have been cutting jobs has been done to make it almost impossible for folks to qualify for unemployment. I'm sure it's very deliberate. It's harder to qualify if you've supposedly been fired for poor job performance. They're probably also planning to gut unemployment even more than it has been wherever possible.

@jgwood10 It's shifting as well. Outside of the urban areas, just like the country writ large, tends to be more red, but anywhere that people actually interact with anything resembling a diverse community has been shifting blue. In Virginia, the more interesting area to watch is Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads, etc, the areas with a lot of military families. Those areas have been shifting much more blue over the last few decades. Virginia has some great online information about current and previous election data.

He never cared, he just wanted some power and a resume line to try and get elected as Senator. You can see it in the decisions he's made. Too bad he's not nearly as charismatic as the others, like Kaine, who've taken that pipeline. Not that Kaine is doing enough, but at least he's not Youngkin.
