  1. My HS chemistry teacher, Mr. Magenheimer, was a great teacher. He clearly loved science and his enthusiasm was infectious. He also often had singed eyebrows. One day, he decided to show us the potassium in water experiment. He had us all stand on the other side of the classroom. Then he took a ONE INCH CUBE, SERIOUSLY, THE THING WAS ENORMOUS, of potassium and chucked into the lab sink, which was full of water. The poor clock on the wall above never worked again, but we all had a newly deep respect for both science and BIG BADDA BOOMS! 😂😍💜💜 Wherever you are now, Mr. Magenheimer, I hope you know that you are a true inspiration. You ensured our safety, THEN showed us how cool chemistry could be.
