  1. I'm not sure why it's that surprising that Latino men would vote conservatively, there is a strong Catholic, conservative tradition there, and a strong patriarchy. I'm not assuming that all Latino men will vote conservatively, but it's not exactly known as a progressive group of liberal folks.

  3. The way the system currently works, it was Trump or Harris. Green wasn't a real choice, either. Advocate for ranked choice voting to break the two party monopoly, then you can actually vote your conscience instead of the least worst choice.

  4. I disagree. Right now I think we're in a space so misogynistic that it wouldn't matter how incredible and progressive the woman, she won't win. There were people voting for Trump and AOC yes, really.

  5. @themartialartsapproach8786  yes, exactly. A person who will vote for a Progressive candidate for Congress, but a Fascist for the president really won't vote for a woman for the White House. They could have written in Bernie, or AOC, but no, there was a significant group that was fine with a Progressive woman to help make democracy happen, but can't give females too much power.

But tell me again how taxes paid by Americans on foreign imports, AKA tariffs, are going to lower prices. Let this person be.

  9. ​ @twistedelegance_  Right. We have watched this happen. Time to stop wallowing and saying "woe is me, what have we done" and start actually looking to change the national narrative. Maybe try appealing to actual left wing base voters for the first time in almost fifty years. Take a page from the right wing, and motivate the base, but with possibility and change, not fear and hate. I'm going to try to advocate for a switch to ranked choice voting in my state. I'm about to research what it takes to get measures on the ballot for a vote. If we can break the back of the two party monopoly, that would help.
