  4. It used to be that almost everyone in the World would have liked to have a Cadillac. It used to be that almost everyone in the World wanted a American car. The American and foreign dignitaries were in Cadillacs when they traveled. It was a mark of Prestige. (American cars!!!) That one individual is right about something. Prices for things in America were lower and wages were lower in the past, but the actual buying power of the dollar is not what it used to be, if everything is taken into consideration between the past and the present. Wages have not kept up with inflation compared to the past and present wages and inflation.
