  1. I'd wish this would be more extended. Here in Spain modernist ugly and non-walker friendly developments are on the rise, I once passed by one of the new developments and asked my friend "Aren't those very ugly?" And he said "Yeah but they are 'modern'", sadly many people believe because they are "modern" they are good even if they are ugly and discourage walking and mixed use. Worse is, it's becoming more common to enclose beautiful old buildings with a boring grey facade, I've even seen some old buildings with modern ugly extensions from the roof. Or to see what they did to the Museum of Arts of Oviedo, demolishing half of the 300 year old beautiful facade to replace it with a horrible grey block and it looks terrible there in the middle of the medieval old town. Also because of the very wet climate here these buildings decay quickly and in 5 years they already have moss.
