Michael Kaniki from what i heard in the asian circuit, is that those with a good personality and community involvement had the highest chance of getting accepted. there's consultants who specializes in this. ive read many self essays from asians and they all sound the same. harvard tend to reject these applicants. as for affirmative action, i highly doubt that. there's only like 13% asians at harvard. over 40% is white. many asians would say affirmative action was the reason why theyre getting rejected.
