not everyone is an influencer. most tourists just like taking photos of themselves to show to family and friends back home. that hasnt changed. a lot of the touristy spots (like venice) are spots where cruise ships stop at and offer group day trips. a regular cruise ship may dump around 2,000 -7,000 people at once for a few hours. and there are multiple ships that dock at the port, so multiply that by 3 or 4 every few hours. ur looking at tens of thousands of foot traffick on a daily basis. that affects local businesses to cater more towards tourists.
