i listen to a lot of vietnam war stories from veterans and this reminds me of a story. one of these stories is from a guy who served as an infantry soldier. the first combat officer he had was a total dickhead like kloubacher. the officer treated the soldiers like shit. he basically led them into an enemy trap and was shot and killed. after escaping to base, the soldier had a combat officer who treated every one of his soldiers like human beings. nobody died under his guidance. later on, the soldier got transferred to a unit led by the dickhead’s son, who was also a dickhead like his dad. but before he could lead them to their first destination , the dickhead son fell on his nuts and got stung by a bunch of wasps. half the soldiers ended up returning him to the base. moral of the story: being a psycho bitch doesn’t mean you’ll be a good leader
