Actually, this practice is incorporated with hospital care. It's allowed in the hospitals in Merced to accommodate their Hmong patients. Kinda like Christian folks may pray before having a surgery that everything goes smoothly. There are some folks who might take it to the extreme, but overall, it's reassuring for those who need spiritual healing while they see a doctor for physical healing. They are free to practice their beliefs. Also, I'm an Atheist so I don't believe any of this. But I operate under the motto of "live and let live." As long as they don't impede on my rights, I won't impede on theirs.
