  5. i remember listening to a survivor. her step-father sexually abused her for years. her mother and siblings knew about it but they never said anything because they all feared that he would kill them. when she got married, her husband knew nothing about the abuse until her step father convinced him to go on a hunting trip and tried to murder him. she and the husband both divorced after this because he felt betrayed that she didnt trust him enough to tell him about her abuse and he almost was killed.
