  8. Well, not USA attention. USA paid little attention to Serbia during the Clinton years, until the media made a big deal about some Americans who were killed there. USA thinks NATO and Europe aren’t doing enough, and I doubt USA will do much for Serbia — or at least Serbia and Europe should not expect USA to do as much as its doing for Ukraine.

Russiabots kept telling us with pride about how large Russia is, and now its size is a liability, as its air defense is too thinly spread. Wouldn‘t be surprised if part of Russia’s air defense weakening is due to sanctions, as air defense obviously relies on more than shovels and WWI rifles. Or maybe they ran out of chips from Ukranian washing machines to power them. Still, so long as Putin‘s villas are safe, everything is fine, right bots? Slava Ukraine!

  17. No need for the tinfoil hats. ISIS-K has a grudge with Russia, including Russia’s interference in Syria, as well as Africa. ISIS-K is opponents to Iran, a Russian ally, and has attacked Iran (and parts of the EU). We all know that Russian’s internal security is a joke, including the Wagner march on Moscoww, and a THIRD attack on Belgorod (sp), not to mention those symbolic drone “attacks” on Moscow. I’m just wondering if this terrorist attack was actually delayed — would have had more impact BEFORE the elections!

  25. Russia’s going to back down from Turkey (and Poland) like it did last time. Wagner forces in Belarus have been stripped down to their sidearms, and I’m sure the equipment has been sold off on the black market — er, redistributed to Russian military solders — by now. Russia can’t even defend itself from the Russian “freedom fighters” in Belgorod. Turkey or Poland could capture Moscow and St. Petersburg in less than three days!

  33. An ISIS attack shouldn‘t be too unexpected. Russia has been sending ethnic minorities to the front while those in Moscow and St. Petersburg have been insulated from the war. Russia also attacked Afghanistan. Just because the West has a short memory and doesn’t remember what happened last year, other cultures have long-standing grudges lasting generations.

  36. This is great. For months, Russia has sent troops to die in Bakhmut, and finally gets the PR stunt they wanted, only for Ukraine (allied) forces to take a Russian town (that wants to be freed from Russia) 24 hours later.

The ISIS attack in Moscow, the Wagner March, and Russian separatist repeated invasion (despite Russian claims that Belgorod‘s security was increased) clearly shows that Russia has no internal defenses left — some ex-Wagner soldiers even joined the separatists. A perverse result of decreasing USA support is that the EU is providing more aid to Ukraine, Ukraine can attack Russia internally (with the USA denying responsibility as shown by its declining aid to Ukraine), and USA can advance as a superpower because of its increasing energy independence. Nations have no permanent friends, only common interests.

The massive irony here is that the Russian army used heavy amount of artillery fire against Ukraine, until the military sanctions kicked in and Russia couldn‘t get (enough) shells for the artillery, nor could maintain the heavily used arillery barrels. I also find amusing that, after the earlier Belgorod (sp) attackes, Russia supposedly INCREASED its internal security in the area. As ever, Russia neglects its own people for hollow political “victories” of taking Ukranian cities at the cost of thousands of Russian lives. Slava Ukraine!
