  2. If this was an isolated incident, it would be less of a concern. But all these different videos of different aspects of China‘s econom, when taken as a whole, show problems with China’s economy.

  4. @U: I was seeing abandoned shopping mall pics in 2005, and you‘ve seen the empty business fairs (for foreign business customers) recently. So not surprised more stores are close, airports or otherwise.

  5. You saw the M&M video too, eh? (: The consumer demand is low b/c China is still focusing on its industrial phase (eg. big useless infrastructure projects) and not the service phase, which results in consumers having money to spend domestically. What I find interesting is that China decades ago was supposed ot have enough domestic demand to not rely as much on exports as it did before. Yet it seems like this consumer demand has not happened.
