  1. Something is definitely changing — Ukraine’s attacks on Russia’s oil infrastructure. The west has been foot-dragging on weapons, so Ukraine’s going after Russia’s lifeblood, oil. Historically, even small changes in oil supplies have had a global effect, and my tinfoil hat suspects that Ukraine had a deal with the west to not attack oil infrastructure, because the west still wants its oil. Perhaps the sanctions means that this loss of Russian oil won’t affect the west as much. We’ll see.
