Enjoy your recession!

I’ll be happy if the economy recovers. May take a few years. Good luck with the inflation and thank Manchin the government didn’t spend half a TRILLION dollars more.

The Red Ripple has a good chance of controlling the House, and Manchin has shown that ONE vote in the Senate can stop either party. Hope gridlock stops BOTH parties from doing more damage to voters.

Better not look at your stock portfolio, then. Wonder how much of Gen Z owned crypto.

ANY Senator in either party can break a bill, and the House is red. Hope that gridlock will keep us from MORE government spending and a LONGER recession.

Looks like Americans voted for gridlock, since the Senate is effectively split, with Manchin still around.

Someone forgot Ronnie Raygun and the “support” US had in Afghanistan.

@Robert : What? You want the Republicans to win? Never interrupt your enemy while they are making a mistake! :D

Good point. I’m concerned about the three House seats flipping to RED in the middle of NY. Some blue states, like CA, have had an exodus for decades, resulting in them losing House seats. Not controlling the House and Machin as a Senator doesn’t look like a Democrat win to me. Then again, the Democrats have been telling us that inflation is “transitory” and that we are not in a recession.

And they’ll find out in a few decades what it’ll be like to have their future spent when they were young, much like the OK Boomers and their retirement portfolios have found out.

Well, the House flipped red, so I guess we didn’t.

Manchin cut Democratic spending by 1/3, from BBB’s 1.5 trillion to a series of bills totaling a trillion or more. With the Senate majority being so thin, any Senator can effectively shut down their party, be it Democrat or Republican. Gridlock is good enough, though, I suppose.

Sweden: The greatest democracy in the world! :D

The Republicans can get rid of Trump by 2024. The Democrats can’t get rid of Biden or their progressives by then.

If you can afford groceries, heating, and gas bills.

The house flipped red, so we got rid of crazies and may have prevented more reckless spending as well.
