  1. Collapse? Well, it‘s more like western corporations wanted cheap labor (and, to be fair, wester consumers wanted cheap stuff), so shipped jobs and suppliers overseas. Everyone got used to low prices and that became the norm. USA still protects its regional shipping lanes (eg. Mexico), and I’m fine with not supporting China‘s exports.
