17:30 : CA fire alarms must have batteries built-into the fire alarms because, yes, someone took out the batteries of a smoke alarm b/c of false alarms in their house (I’m not clear if this was a rental or they owned the house) and died in a fire. We got as far as putting up a nail in the kitchen and hanging a fire alarm on it, to see if it would have any false alarms. And it‘s only high enough that I can reach it so I can easily test the alarm. Hope I haven’t done something that would kill me, though. Thanks for the video!
