  9. Bush turned a surplus into a deficit. Obama lowered that deficit nearly every year. Trump increased the deficit EVERY YEAR, to a record high. Biden has been decreasing the deficit every year. The national debt has risen by almost $7.8 trillion during Trump’s time in office.
