@goldbud2287 Books that have been banned in Florida include: Biographies of Hank Aaron and Roberto Clemente that Duval County admitted to removing from shelves for nearly a year, along with 177 other books from a collection of diverse books. And Tango Makes Three, a picture book about two male penguins raising a chick. Stella Brings the Family, a picture book about a girl with two dads. When Wilma Rudolph Played Basketball, pulled from open shelves temporarily after one person complained about it. Forever, by Judy Blume Booker Prize winner The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye All Boys Aren’t Blue, by George M. Johnson The Handmaid’s Tale, by Margaret Atwood Dozens of books that include LGBTQ+ themes, protagonists of color, or that touch on race or racism.

@goldbud2287 He purposely made the law vague, so that schools and libraries had to remove anything not explicitly approved by Florida. Did you see them censor Rosa Park's story?
1
@goldbud2287 If DeGroomer had his way, they wouldn't be able to. In one example cited in the lawsuit, the teacher admitted she had never heard of the book “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” by Stephen Chbosky but filed an objection form to the novel that contained specific excerpts and phrasing from the book ban website. Among the other removed books are “The Bluest Eye” by Toni Morrison, “The Nowhere Girls” by Amy Reed and “Lucky” by Alice Sebold. The lawsuit said more than 150 additional books are under review by the school board. “In Escambia County, state censors are spiriting books off shelves in a deliberate attempt to suppress diverse voices. In a nation built on free speech, this cannot stand,” said Suzanne Nossel, CEO of PEN America. “The law demands that the Escambia County School District put removed or restricted books back on library shelves where they belong.”

@chevy3022 Hey! Tim Nolan! Are you ready to condemn "didlers" yet? Here: Didlers are digusting and should be removed from society. Your turn.

@goldbud2287 Do you agree with the consorship of American history? Why did they want Rosa Parks to give up her seat?
1
@diggiejohns Hahaha! Why is it conservatives love to just say "Lies!" whenever they're confronted with the truth? 😂😂

Is spoon feeding you guys information good enough or do you need your food chewed first?

@karlanderson1791 Because South Dakota, Texas and Wyoming don't care about the abuse of children?
1
@karlanderson1791 Trump has tons of ties to Epstein. Trump has a long history of SA. It makes a lot of sense. Did Epstein do it to himself? Let's look for a common thread.

J K Silly little Qultists. 😂

@lanajacknichols8397 "The lawyer, Lisa Bloom, said Trump’s accuser had received threats and was too frightened to show up." Surprise, surprise. Trump sicced his dogs on her.

@michaeldomina9700 Where there's smoke, there's fire. And there is A LOT of smoke. "The lawyer, Lisa Bloom, said Trump’s accuser had received threats and was too frightened to show up."
1
@michaeldomina9700 Fact: Trump has confessed to commiting SA. Fact: Trump has many credible allegations of r``` and SA. Fact: Trump has many children alleging SA. Fact: Trump has many many creepy comments about children. Fact: Trump was buddies with Epstein. Fact: Trump has wished child ---- offended well. There is A LOT of smoke.

@goldbud2287 Writers’ group PEN America and publisher Penguin Random House sued a Florida school district Wednesday over its removal of books about race and LGBTQ+ identities, the latest opposition to a policy central to Gov. Ron DeSantis’ agenda as he prepares to run for president. The federal lawsuit alleges the Escambia County School District and its School Board are violating the First Amendment through the removal of 10 books from library shelves.
