I worked hard to pay off my loans. I would still help those that come after me. Yeah, it sucks that it puts me at a disadvantage, but why would I wish for others to struggle like I did?

@JoshAintSoCool Good. Well-reasoned. Should the people with PPP loans get forgiveness? I would argue: The benefit to society is questionable. They probably shouldn't have gotten the loans to begin with. Education has an obvious benefit to society. I don't mind such loans being forgiven. Even though I worked very hard to pay off mine.

Republicans could have done nothing, and the debts would have been forgiven. Instead, the Republicans show how little they think of young voters. Good strategy, it seems to be working out for them.

I love how eager Republicans are to hurt voters. Lose the young vote by fighting student loan forgiveness. Now, they want to try to lose the elderly vote by getting rid of social security. Bold strategy, let's see how it plays out.

@roberts.3712 The writing is on the wall. They won't say it explicitly, but they're planning on it. They'll probably wrap it up in a "freedom" thing. Like: Now you have the freedom to choose your retirement plan from the free market , isn't that wonderful? Meanwhile you get half of the benefits, because private companies just want your money.
