Matt Gaetz sent his friend, the convicted 5-x trafficker Joel Greenberg, $900. The next morning, over the course of eight minutes, Greenberg used the same app to send three young girls varying sums of money. In total, the transactions amounted to $900. The memo field for the first of Gaetz’s transactions to Greenberg was titled “Test.” In the second, the Florida GOP congressman wrote “hit up ___.” But instead of a blank, Gaetz wrote a nickname for one of the recipients. (The Daily Beast is not sharing that nickname because the teenager had only turned 18 less than six months before.) When Greenberg then made his Venmo payments to these three young girls, he described the money as being for “Tuition,” “School,” and “School.”

@HaimTabibi I think the biggest question, is why do you protect enablers so much? Do you enable groomers? Or maybe you are one? Do you support child marriage, like most Republicans? @maemiller9164 Because that's what the students say. And a couple others. The investigation looked for crime. Gym Jordan didn't committed a crime, he only committed a sin. He could have stopped it.

@maemiller9164 Gym Jordan's students tried to report it, but people like Gym Jordan, Russ Hellickson and Andy Geiger covered it up. They were young and the power of authority is strong with humans. So when people like Gym Jordan just laughed it off... What were they supposed to do?
