  3. All these countries have overlapping claims. But China need them more than others because of its national security concern. If Philippines, Japan, Korea, Australia are hosting US bases, then the issue of sovereignty become secondary. The national security of China is the priority. If US can sacrifice 10,000 islanders of BIKINI Islands for the only sake of nuclear experiment on humans beings, then why can't China occupy these islands which are theirs for defensive purpose. A few Pinoy fishermen lives is nothing compared to 10,000 islanders of BIKINI Islands who died or will die of cancer
